PREMA set for home event to wrap up European F2 calendar

R11 Monza - FIA Formula 2 Race Preview

Wrapping up its 2025 summer break, the FIA Formula 2 Championship is heading back underway this weekend and will do so at the legendary Autodromo in Monza. For PREMA Racing, the final round of the European season will be at home, not far from its Italian headquarters in Veneto.
With solid runs in the middle part of the season so far and multiple podiums achieved, Sebastian Montoya and Gabriele Minì are going back to a track they know well since their F4 days. On such a unique venue, knowledge is always key. Competition is close on track with long straights, making for strong slipstreams and action under braking, and the high-speed corners can throw more curveballs into the mix.

Tyre degradation might come into play as well. For 2025, Pirelli will supply teams with a softer prime tyre, the P-Zero Yellow soft, in addition to the Purple supersofts as the option choice.

RENÉ ROSIN - Team Principal

"We are happy to race at our home track, and as we reach the end of the European season, having a positive and consistent run here would be very important. We showed clear podium potential throughout the year, and we want to bounce back from Hungaroring, which was not the ideal weekend. As always, qualifying will be crucial, but Monza is known to have multiple facets and we need a comprehensive approach."
