PREMA Racing put up an extremely strong pace again today as the 9th round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship drew to a close at the Hungaroring.
Starting on rain tyres with a wet track, the conditions improved throughout the race, which made for tricky management.
Ugo Ugochukwu had a blistering start, showing the potential to fight for the leading pack. Starting from P7, he quickly advanced to the top 5. Unfortunately, he was crashed out by a competitor, while going for P4.
Brando Badoer had another solid run, delivering his third consecutive points finish in P7 with more promise on display. The Italian made the most of the opportunities and kept himself away from trouble even when action became frantic.
Noel Leon was also looking for his way back but was involved in a contact for which he was penalized, finishing in P17 with more attrition getting in the way.
As the series gets set for its summer break, everyone at PREMA wishes to congratulate Rafael Camara on winning the 2025 title.
#1 BRANDO BADOER
"Solid Feature Race here in Budapest, where I started from P8 and finished in P7. The conditions were not easy; the track was wet at the beginning, then it dried out during the race. It was a solid one. The pace was not bad. We have something to improve, but we are heading in the right direction. We keep pushing ahead of the next one in Monza."
#2 NOEL LEÓN
"Difficult weekend overall with two contacts in two races. It's been a weekend to forget. The only positive thing is that the pace is really strong, dry and wet. Looking forward to being back at Monza next month."
#3 UGO UGOCHUKWU
"Really disappointing DNF from the feature race. The pace was really good again. We started from P7 and we were attacking for P4 but I got taken out and had to retire."
