PREMA's F1 Academy operation goes back to Miami

R03 Miami - F1 Academy Race Preview

PREMA Racing's F1 Academy operation will go back underway this weekend as America's newest street course welcomes the Miami Grand Prix.

Returning to Miami for the second time, the all-female championship is set for its third round of the season, and PREMA will be back after securing points finishes with all cars in Jeddah last time around.

Doriane Pin is currently sitting second in points, and the Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 junior driver, who claimed two podiums last year in Miami, is hoping to build on the positive foundations she has laid out so far. BWT Alpine Formula One Team's Nina Gademan has come close to winning in the Shanghai opener and is looking for another positive run in her first American racing experience. Last but not least, Tina Hausmann, representing the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, has been delivering solid improvement with a double points finish in Jeddah, and is willing to crack into the top 5.

The 5.4-kilometer circuit, built around the Miami Dolphins Hard Rock Stadium, will be a spectacular setting as always. Relatively flat and highly technical, it needs calculated moves, and while the reverse grid on Race 1 makes for more opportunities, qualifying well is essential for the big-points Race 2.

RENÉ ROSIN - Team Principal

"We are coming to Miami for round 3 and we aim for a solid all-around performance. We showed potential so far and we worked well to prepare for this event in addition to having last year's experience to assist. I expect a competitive weekend with all three drivers."
