PREMA Racing posted a points finish in the opening race of Jeddah, home to the third round of FIA Formula 2 for the 2025 season. Starting from the front row of the Sprint Race, Gabriele Minì fended off his contenders as the laps went by and survived contact, eventually snatching sixth place at a last gasp.
Sebastian Montoya put up a positive showing. Starting from P17, the Colombian American improved his positions steadily and took advantage of safety-car situations to maximize his chances, ending up in P13.
The Feature Race at Jeddah Corniche Circuit will go underway tomorrow at 16:25 local time.
#9 SEBASTIAN MONTOYA
"We made good progress forward and learned more things during the race. We have to look at everything because yesterday we had a bit more speed than today. I got a good start, passed a few people and that was good. We need to understand what we can change and improve to make a step tomorrow."
#10 GABRIELE MINÌ
"It's a bit disappointing to start in P2 and finish in P6. We have some more work to do, rewatch the race, analyze after the safety car it was a bit better, and we managed to regain one position on the last lap. We will now check the race, analyze it, and then see for tomorrow."
