Valtteri Bottas

Biography

Coming from a successful karting career, highlighted by the WSK International Series title, Bottas started racing cars in 2007, taking third place in the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC. In the following season, he won both the NEC series and the Formula Renault Eurocup, before moving to F3 in 2009. He finished third twice in the Euro Series, winning two Masters Grand Prix at Zandvoort. He ran for PREMA at the 2010 Macau Grand Prix with a podium finish. In 2011, he won the GP3 Series and debuted in Formula 1 with Williams in 2012. His biggest career move came in 2017 when he was selected to join Lewis Hamilton at the all-conquering Mercedes F1 team. He won 10 Grand Prix races there, finishing two times as a runner-up in the World Championship.
